Pastor Richardson was born in Gilbert, LA, the eldest of eight children. A family man, he has been married for over thirty five years and is the father of three children and grandfather of seven. Being the eldest child, he is now the family patriarch. As a former Casino Executive, he was the first African- American "Pit Boss" in the state of Nevada. Later, he was employed by the National Park Service and eventually retired. Before coming to Las Vegas, he attended Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA. He has also studied at a number of Christian institutions. Reverend Richardson was licensed to preach in 1980 by the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and ordained in 1985. For eight years, he served as assistant pastor and succeeded his father as pastor of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in 1999. A long time supporter of the Pride of the West District Association, he served as First Vice-Moderator for four years and Moderator for eight years. He has also served as Vice-President of the Nevada/California Interstate Missionary Baptist Convention. Pastor Richardson continues to serve the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area as a pastor/teacher and evangelist in our master’s service.
